This conference paper presents field experiments conducted in April 1992 near Inuvik, Canada, investigating net fluxes of nitrate and sulfate between arctic snow surfaces and the atmosphere, with particular focus on the influence of solar radiation. Results show solar radiation had no significant effect on NO3 and SO4 exchange, while sulfate exhibited dry deposition in the second experiment with a calculated deposition velocity of 0.09 cm s⁻¹.

Discusses early grizzly-bear deterrent considerations in the Exeter Lake area following RERC meetings.
Field experiments near Inuvik, NWT measured spatial and temporal variations in snowmelt runoff chemistry across a 0.25 m² lysimeter with 16 compartments, demonstrating that solute concentration factors are inversely related to flow volume early in melt and converge as melt progresses, with implications for understanding heterogeneous flow path controls on meltwater chemistry.
Traditional Knowledge (Miscellaneous) binder for the Independent Environmental Monitoring Agency covering 1998-2002. Includes Bob Turner (EMAB) and Red Pedersen (Agency) correspondence with the CEAM Steering Committee, Peter Usher (Arctic) "Tuktu and Nogak Project" senior-researcher updates, Natasha Thorpe (Simon Fraser University) correspondence on community-based researcher transitions, "Northern Eden: Community-based wildlife management in Canada" (Evaluating Eden Series No. 2, IIED London 1999) chapter on subsistence hunting evolution, GNWT Policy 51.06 Traditional Knowledge (Deputy Ministers Program Departments traditional-knowledge coordination responsibility, GNWT-supported study/documentation/application of traditional knowledge), and "Role and Significance of Tradition in Indigenous Knowledge" Indigenous Knowledge paper.
