Air Quality Monitoring Program, Ekati Diamond Mine (BHP Billiton, May 2012)
This three-year Air Quality Monitoring Program report (2009-2011) for the EKATI Diamond Mine presents results from six monitoring components: meteorology, emissions calculations, ambient air quality monitoring (HVAS and CAM), dustfall, snow chemistry, and lichen tissue analysis. The report concludes that mining effects on air quality remain localized within approximately 1 km for heavier particles and 15 km for smaller particles, with values generally below relevant guidelines.
