An Overview of Lake Water Quality in the Slave Structural Province Area, Northwest Territories (DIAND, February 1996)
This report presents a comprehensive baseline water quality survey of lakes in the Slave Structural Province of the Northwest Territories, conducted during 1993-1994 using the Central Arctic Study to measure current lake water chemistry and identify impacts from mining and other developments. The study analyzed 374 lakes for physical parameters, major ions, nutrients, metals, and other contaminants, with results displayed using GIS technology to assess geographic distribution and identify anomalous areas.
