Beartooth Lake 1997 Fisheries Resource and Habitat Survey (BHP Billiton, November 1997)
This 1997 baseline fisheries resource and habitat survey of Beartooth Lake documents fish species composition, population estimates, condition factors, and habitat characteristics prior to planned bulk sampling diamond drilling. The survey found Arctic grayling and lake trout as primary species, with population estimates of 98–131 Arctic grayling and 42–46 lake trout susceptible to index gill nets, alongside oligotrophic water conditions and limited stream spawning habitat.
