Cumulative Effects Assessment and Management (CEAM) Workshop, Developing a Blueprint for a Coordinated Approach in the NWT (Multiple parties, December 1999)
This workshop report documents a three-day Cumulative Effects Assessment and Management (CEAM) workshop held in Yellowknife in December 1999, where stakeholders including Aboriginal governments, federal and territorial agencies, industry, and NGOs developed a coordinated framework for assessing and managing cumulative environmental effects in the Northwest Territories. The workshop produced a conceptual CEAM framework with components including vision/objectives, baseline studies, monitoring, project assessments, and environmental management strategies, along with proposed terms of reference for a Working Group to further develop and implement the framework.
