Distribution of BHP Billiton Reports and Correspondence to IEMA (IEMA, December 2001)
The Independent Environmental Monitoring Agency requests that the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board direct BHP-Billiton to copy the Agency on all regulatory required reports and correspondence submitted under licenses and permits relating to the Ekati diamond project, as the company's current policy of not distributing documents has caused delays and costs to the Agency in fulfilling its public mandate.
