Establishment of a Vegetation Cover on Kimberlite Mine Tailings (University of Alberta, 2002)
This Master's thesis investigates the establishment of vegetation cover on processed kimberlite mine tailings at the Ekati Diamond Mine in the Northwest Territories through greenhouse and field studies. The research evaluates structural and nutrient-providing amendments to overcome tailings limitations and facilitate permanent vegetation stabilization using native grass species.
