Fay Bay Monitoring Program, Ekati Diamond Mine (BHP Billiton, August 2011)
This report presents the 2010 Fay Bay Aquatic Monitoring Program results following an unplanned processed kimberlite (PK) release in May 2008. The monitoring data indicate recovery of both aquatic and terrestrial environments, with vegetation re-establishing and water quality parameters returning toward baseline conditions, though some chemical effects remain three years after the incident.
