Geotechnical Properties of New Fox and Panda Tailings Report, Appendix A (University of Alberta, October 1995)
This geotechnical report characterizes the properties of New Fox and Panda kimberlite tailings from a proposed diamond mine in the Northwest Territories, including solids content, grain size distribution, consolidation behavior, hydraulic conductivity, and filtration performance. The study concludes that New Fox tailings are more problematic for disposal than Panda tailings due to finer particle sizes, lower water release rates, and higher turbidity potential.
