Grizzly Lake Aquatic Assessment, Ekati Diamond Mine (BHP Billiton, January 2004)
This 2003 aquatic assessment of Grizzly Lake at the Ekati Diamond Mine examines water quality, limnology, and biological communities to determine nutrient sources and effects of changing water chemistry on aquatic life. Results show elevated copper and nitrate concentrations historically, though nitrate decreased in 2002-2003, while aquatic biota remained relatively unaffected and typical of other Ekati area lakes.
