Guidelines for Incorporating Traditional Knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessment (MVEIRB, July 2005)
The Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board's guidelines establish procedures for incorporating traditional knowledge held by aboriginal peoples into the environmental impact assessment process for development projects in the region. The guidelines outline how traditional knowledge should be collected, presented, evaluated, and considered at all stages of EIA proceedings, including preliminary screening, environmental assessment, and environmental impact review.
