King Pond Fish Community and Habitat Survey, Ekati Diamond Mine (BHP Billiton, September 1999)
This 1999 fish community and habitat survey of King Pond at the Ekati Diamond Mine assessed the lake prior to its proposed use as a settling pond for the Misery Pit. The survey found a sparse, recently colonized Arctic grayling population of uniform age (four years) with high growth rates, along with limited overwintering habitat and poor stream connectivity to surrounding waterbodies.
