Panda Diversion Channel Monitoring Program Technical Report, Ekati Diamond Mine (BHP Billiton, January 2000)
This is the second year (1999) monitoring report for the Panda Diversion Channel at Ekati Diamond Mine, assessing the performance of constructed fish habitat enhancements and channel stability following a major freshet event. The report documents hydrology, spring fish migration, larval emergence, habitat assessments, channel stability, benthic invertebrates, and periphyton communities, comparing 1999 results with 1998 baseline data and concluding that Arctic grayling and other fish species are utilizing the channel and enhancements successfully despite some areas of channel degradation from exaggerated peak flows.
