Panda-Kodiak Channel Research Project Progress Report (University of Alberta, December 1998)
This 1998 progress report documents the inaugural year of the University of Alberta's research project assessing the effectiveness of the Panda-Kodiak Diversion Channel as fish habitat, established as compensation for loss of surface water connectivity in the Koala Watershed due to mine development. The project combines baseline surveys of the constructed channel and natural reference streams using habitat mapping, fish community assessments, benthic sampling, and hydrodynamic analyses to understand how created habitats support productive fish populations in the tundra environment.
