Policy for the Management of Fish Habitat (DFO, October 1986)
This is the Department of Fisheries and Oceans' federal policy on fish habitat management, presented to Parliament on October 7, 1986, establishing a framework to achieve net gain of productive capacity for Canada's fisheries resources through conservation, restoration, and development of fish habitats, guided by the principle of no net loss of habitat productive capacity.
