Response by the GNWT to the Report of the Traditional Knowledge Working Group (GNWT, October 1993)
The Government of the Northwest Territories responds to the 1991 Traditional Knowledge Working Group report with a policy framework and action plan to promote and integrate traditional knowledge across government departments and aboriginal communities. The response assigns coordination responsibility to the Department of Renewable Resources and commits to prioritizing traditional knowledge projects in environmental management, education, and community-based research initiatives.
