BHP Minerals Canada Ltd. submitted a Fish Habitat Compensation Program plan for the Panda Lake Diversion Channel, developed by Dillon Consulting Limited to address harmful alteration of fish habitat from mining operations. The plan details fish habitat creation, enhancement, monitoring and maintenance designs for a 3,400-meter diversion channel constructed between Panda and Kodiak Lakes to restore fish connectivity and compensate for 930 meters of impacted stream habitat in the Koala Watershed.
