This is a fish habitat compensation plan for the Panda Lake Diversion Channel developed by BHP Minerals Canada Ltd. and Dillon Consulting to address impacts of the NWT Diamonds Project on stream fish habitat. The plan details physical and hydrological characteristics of the constructed diversion channel, proposed habitat creation and enhancement features, monitoring protocols, and a phased implementation strategy to achieve no net loss of fish habitat as required by the federal Fisheries Act.
