Wildlife Management and Monitoring Plan (WMMP), Ekati Diamond Mine (Arctic Canadian Diamond Company, March 2023)
Arctic Canadian Diamond Company submits the updated Wildlife Management and Monitoring Plan (WMMP) for the Ekati Diamond Mine to the Government of the Northwest Territories Environment and Natural Resources department. The WMMP replaces the 2017 Wildlife Effects Monitoring Plan and incorporates stakeholder feedback, traditional knowledge, and mitigation strategies for wildlife species including caribou, grizzly bears, wolves, wolverine, and raptors, with monitoring programs addressing habitat loss, waste management, wildlife incidents, and caribou road interactions.
