This is the 1997 Wildlife Monitoring Program report for the Ekati Diamond Mine construction phase, prepared by Golder Associates for BHP Diamonds Inc. The report documents monitoring of caribou, carnivores (grizzly bears, wolves, foxes, wolverines), migratory and breeding birds, and habitat loss during the first year of mine construction, with results comparing mine and control sites to assess impacts of construction activities.
