Wolverine Ecology, Distribution & Productivity in the Slave Geological Province, Final Report to the West Kitikmeot Slave Study Society (GNWT, June 2000)
This final report documents a four-year wolverine research project (1996-1999) in the Slave Geological Province examining ecology, distribution, home range, movements, reproduction, and harvest patterns of wolverines (Gulo gulo) on the central Arctic barrens. The study captured 36 individual wolverines via radio telemetry and examined 473 harvested wolverines to assess population dynamics, productivity, and the potential impacts of mineral development on this species.
