Spatial Organization and Habitat Selection Patterns of Barren-Ground Grizzly Bears in the NWT and Nunavut, Final Report to the West Kitikmeot Slave Study Society (McLoughlin & Messier, November 1999)
This final report documents a satellite telemetry study of barren-ground grizzly bears in the Slave Geological Province (1995-1999), identifying three populations (North Slave, Bathurst Inlet, Kugluktuk), characterizing habitat selection patterns, home range sizes, seasonal movements, and denning ecology to inform mining development management decisions.
